  • T2 Satellite, JeanLeloup (guest) wrote 15 years ago:
These satellite gates are still in use, following decomissioning of the main T2 complex. These gates handle regional transborder flights. The gates are now accessed via a bus from T1.
  • Infield Terminal, JeanLeloup (guest) wrote 15 years ago:
This terminal is no longer used. It was primarily built as a temporary reliever during the construction of the new Terminal 1. I believe it was mostly Air Canada and perhaps Star Alliance partners, and only for international flights (where the little extra time of getting there on a bus was not a problem). It is being kept in usable condition in case it is needed for further relief during future development.

I was in a performance of Henry V in this theatre in 1992. We were told we were the first ones to ever perform there, and I have not seen it used since.

  • CFRB Transmiting Station, n-bore (guest) wrote 16 years ago:
I didn't complain, but it does mess up everything; I can't fax anything as radio is heard through the transmission and "communication error" stops it... I hear clear radio transmission on corded and cordless phones... if I turn on powered speakers and before the source is even on, you can hear cfrb through speakers, while playing anything (dvd, cd) cfrb is always in the background.... it's really annoying, and I'm 4 km away from it...

  • Site of Old Terminal 1, Limy (guest) wrote 16 years ago:
Enjoyed your information concerning Pearson International. I recall the old terminal 1 fondly as it was where I first stepped off the plane from England in 1966. In later years I have always enjoyed going to the airport to see relatives arrive or depart and of course to watch the planes. It will seem strange driving towards the airport and not seeing terminal 1 from the 401. That is progress I suppose.
