You need to update this. The 2 dollar stores Buck or two & Jack & Jill are both gone. So is the Home Hardware plus there is no Price Choppers. Just Freshco & Walmart at either end of the mall. Many other stores are gone. Please update this information.

Worked there between 1971-1973, quality was high and wages reasonable - tough for Canadian manufacturing to lose our base to Asia.

Our family lived at this complex from Sept. 1967 to Aug. 1968, not long after it was completed in 1966. The rent was $235 per month. Contrary to what is said below, the townhouses were not built by Shipp (we actually met the original builder), but much of the area around it was.

Peirette the landlord is the worst person ever. she is the WORST landlord that I have ever had. She is tried to evict numerous people since I have lived here & because of that I decided to leave.... little did I know that Peirette decided to take my lasts month rent & wanted me to leave an entire month early! She literally REFUSED to give me back my money. So I had to take her the landlord and tentant board & she finally gave it back.
I cant beleive she is still allowed to own that building...she is a horrible person.
Never did anything good for the building, only made is worst!!!!!

This townhouse complex is located at the corner of Burnhamthorpe and Tomken Rd.
Built by 'Shipp' in an area known as 'Applewood Hills', it used to be farmland with apple
orchards, hence the name.
